Paint code?
« on: November 17, 2005 - 05:02:21 PM »
I’m removing the tail light assemblies, cleaning them up and repainting them. There is a place that will mix paint and put it in a rattle can but what I need is the paint code for a shade of black between a flat black and semigloss. Any suggestions?

I thought they were painted semi-gloss, but that's a good question. I don't think there was a paint code. Anyone else???

Send a message to Alaskan TA I believe he could most likely answer this question.  I have the drawings he sent me but I can not read them..   They show that it could be two different types of paint but both are black.  You could also look under the m46 side scoop option and see the same drawings with the black out on bottom and back of the Barracuda.  Hope this helps.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

What year of car? What model? I  have the tail panel information for 1970, but I do not have the actual paint codes.
