Not pickey, just stating out something. Most of these cars are usually numbers cars, or atleast showcars.
Can't help it I'm picky, just my nature....The car looks great anyhow, just stating that you'd think they'd use a car that was correct.

I don't think that you're being picky NZ.  Like 528 Hemi Cuda stated some people use these books for reference for thier cars and may get points deducted at car shows for restoring a car wrong.

Very true cudahob, some of these cars are used for an art shot, and they are great looking.

Besides, with a car like Lucy, attention to detail is what makes the car so cooool.  (smiley with thumbs up here)
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Thanks Superblue, far too kind mate. But you're correct, attention to detail is of up most importance.
Going that extra step is what it's all about. :-)

No prob, NZ.

Any hows, here's something I picked up at Costco for $20.  The price at the link is kind of expensive but it's informative.

This is a DVD set from the TV show My Classic Car with Dennis Gage (The guy with the "barber shop quartet" mustache).
There are 6 DVDS, for different makes of cars and one is dedicated to Mopar enthusiasts.  These are the little features on the cars that were on the show.

Contents as follows:

Disc #1: Chevy Muscle Cars
Disc #2: Ford Muscle Cars
Disc #3: Mopar Muscle Cars
Disc #4: Olds-Pontiac-Buick Muscle Cars
Disc #5: Cool Cars of the 50's
Disc #6: Jay Leno Certified Car Nut

The Mopar Disc has:
1964 Plymouth Belvedere Hemi
1968 Dodge Hemi Dart
1969 Dodge Hemi Daytona
1970 Dodge Challenger 440
1970 Plymouth Cuda 440
1970 Plymouth Superbird
1970 AAR Cuda & 1970 Challenger T/A

Extra Features include: Developement of the 426 Hemi, Virgil Exner, Tom Hoover, Mr. Norm, 1963 Chrysler Turbine, "Big Daddy" Don Garlit's Drag Race Museum, 14th Annual Mopars with "Big Daddy", Mopar Fest Ontario, Chryslres at Carlisle.

Yes very good, back to what "you" like to get as a present this Holliday Season.

I'll check it out SB72.

Thanks

The Challenger & Cuda book is fabulous.

When my husband bought the Cuda-Challenger book it was the first edition.  My husband called and pointed out the mistakes and the author was very gracious and wanted my husband to circle all the mistakes and send the book back so he could correct them.  The main thing we complained about was a AAR Cuda picture they had in the book was nowhere close to being an AAR Cuda.  I am sure the editions they have out now should be a lot more correct.

About 5 years ago I was in a drug store and came across some pretty neat cardboard 71 Cuda's.  They had a bottle of perfume in them.  They are 71 Cuda convertables.  The front headlights are 1970 Cuda but they have the gills on the sides.  They had 4 colors Red, Blue, Black and Silver.  I thought they were really cool and I have not been able to locate them again.  I bought 1 of each color and put them up.  Hopefully they will be collectors items someday.  Has anyone else run across them?

Hi Pink Ice,

I've never seen them.  Do you happen to have a picture?  Thanks!

Super Blue,
I don't have a picture yet.  I will try to get a picture and post it here.  I am always looking for neat Mopar stuff to collect.

maybe not for everybody but my son made a shadowbox for me of my car in my garage. Although he missed a detail or two, (my car is purple, not pink!) a lot of it is correct but he spent a LOT of time putting it together. Dont know if you can make it out but thats a can of whoop ass above my roll away. The pictures on the wall? If you look close you see one of them is a picture I posted of the engine just after I pulled it earlier this year. Also posted is a popular 71 cuda advertisement that we all know and love.

Incredible detail!  That sure does take a long time to do it right!

I tinker with the thought of doing something like that but I gather the pieces together and then I lose interest/get busy/etc..

2 thumbs up to your son!
