NZ's Resto Update - A Month to Go....
« on: November 18, 2005 - 07:14:11 PM »
Thought I might as well post some photos, I wasn't going to and was going to wait until she was finally complete...
But........lol Yeah. I did promise I'd post some photos.

Glass is in and so is the grill, EVERYTHING behind the grille is black or been painted black, the grille needs about 0.0001% adjustment and the the top grille rivets to be blacked out also. Not correct but IMO better than factory.

The exterior is 95% complete with all that is needed to complete it, is:

 - Chrome Racing mirrors (restored just waiting for some screws)
 - 1/4 Panel moldings and trunk lid emblem
 - Engine bay wiring to be detailed and cleaned up a little.

That's it for the exterior, seats are done except the rails.
I'm expecting the interior to be 80% installed (probably more) before December.

Well, nothing too major, just exterior and engine bay shots.

Cheers,
Carl

NZ, that's just pure beauty!  I stand in awe of that car!

Yip, I am Andrew well spotted. It will be installed when the console is added. The ball shifter is just there to keep a hold of everything and to engage and disengage gears while not using the pistol grip and getting that all grubby etc. Same as the pedals, they are just the old ones for now while using the car and getting in and out etc. Any little steps to save the life of car parts has been used. :-)

Thanks Rev too kind again. :-) Yip!! Not long now!! Yehaaaaaaaaaw!

"Lucy" is looking absolutely fantastic!  My first Mopar was an Alpine White '68 Polara, and I have always liked Mopars in white... especially when finely detailed like yours!!!  Looking forward to seeing the pictures when it is completed...

Thanks Allen and Andrew.

Andrew - Yip, she was B5 Blue in and out. Someone painted her white around the late 70's so shes spent most of her life in white.
I decided to keep that going.......I like white cars, had two, Lucy being my third. I like B5 Blue but not on my car. lol
Looks great on someone Else's car but it's just not me. I posted a poll about color choice quite some time ago and everyone agreed that my mind was set on white. It helped seeing the car for the first time that it was white I was over the moon.

Originally a bucket seat column shift car someone changed it over to bench seat, which makes more sense.
We converted to bucket seats (which is how it was made) but, changed to console shift using only the correct year parts.

Now, she's white, black and slap-stik shifted. :-)
For reference, the color of is not Alpine, that was how I got it and IMO was a little too creamy, I wanted something more arctic, more bright. The shade is called: Bright White Chrysler code - PW7.

Cheers,
Carl
