Hopefuflly this is the real deal (with no dumb ass changes) when and if it actually goes into production. Two positive points as to why it very well could be the real thing: (1) the big hit that the new Mustang has made on the market, and (2) all the hate bashing mail D/C has received over the "sh!t brick" new Charger. Just maybe they got the message ! The blend pic Redline put up looks like they nearly kept the original roof and belt lines of the car, and why not, it was one of the best looking cars Dodge made, well next to the 2nd. gen. Charger, lol.

About time!  I was actually considering wasting my money on a Charger just to get the hemi, and that I need a new car.  This will look soooooooo much better next to the 73 when its done.  To DCX:  BUILD IT AS IS and put my name on the order list.

One other thing...is anyone interested in a side bet that it rusts in the same places as the classic ebodies ?

I like what I see so far.  I think it would look great with a "hockey stick" strip on the rear quarters.  Providing the interior is good, if they release this car as it is shown, the Corvette will be up for sale!

I will buy one. In purple please. And don't change a thing.

It will look so cool next to the 71.

"Challenger draws on the 1970 model as the icon of the series, says Tom Tremont of Chrysler’s Pacifica studio in California."
It looks more like a '71 grill then a '70 grill. Very nice looking car!

Do you really think that they should put a cuda hockey stripe on a dodge challenger? Might be going a little bit too far. I would rather see a 71 style R/T stripe. Would go great with that 71 looking front end.
I'll buy one...or two.

Whoa......i sure hope they build a production car based very closely on this show car....I'll be in line for one first chance i get. That would look great in FM3 or FC7 of EB5 next to my black 70 hemicuda.

They gotta include one of these shown below as an option!

They gotta include one of these shown below as an option!

According to a well placed source that I know... Shaker hoods will be available.  I do not know if it will be as a seperate option, or maybe just on some versions like a "SRT8"...

I hope other items like spoilers and T/A style hoods will also eventually be available... no word on those.  I would take a Red "T/A Styled" Challenger... even if it was a R/T, SRT, etc.  It would be parked next to my FE5 Red 1970 Challenger T/A...

Oh Happy Days!!!  I never dreamed 20 years ago that this was even possible...  hope it is not just a mirage!

Have faith that this concept car will be shown at the Detroit Auto Show... as far as making it to production... PRAY!

According to the admin over at Allpar, better images are coming  tomorrow ...

Here is what he said and a link to the Allpar Challenger page:

 All I can say is:
http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/challenger.html
"more tomorrow" and better than the "other photos" you've seen

Now this is  not to say that production is certain or that the styling won't change... just that the photos show  one of the concept cars that DCX will display at the Detroit Auto Show...
