Here is link to the cars getting ready to find new homes for 2006.

It appears there are a lot more Cuda's than ever before so my guess is we will see prices retreat except for the best of the best. What are your thoughts?  In any case those of us with the Speed Channel will have something to watch other than the snow here in Ohio.

That Sox & Martin 68 Hemi Cuda is local. I went and checked it out last Saturday.  It is ok, but it definitely shows it's age.  Nothing has been done in forever to that car. The guy that is at the  cars location was talking a cool million for it!.. He said that they were taking it to B-J this January and see what it would bring. I will keep my eye out and see how high it goes.  1 million---thats insane!!!........Oldschool

There's some really beautiful cars there!

I wonder how much they'll make total when the days done, gross profit?

I live in Arizona and I was considering selling a car there, however as of last year they no longer allow reserves. I'd hate to catch people on an off day. They really make out though, they charge a percentage to the seller and another to the buyer. Double dipping every deal.....amazing.

I don'y know that it's a farce but it is an indication of where Some people are putting their money these days. I've been to Auburn In. Kruse auction many times and once in a great while you can catch a deal. I ran my 1967 Healey 3000 a few years ago through Kruse and it never made reserve but sold it later in the week for what I wanted. The guy didn't want to pay the premium. The buyer Premium at B-J is huge. I think prices will level off this year for them.

I have love/hate emotions about these auctions.  Certainly they have helped drive up the prices on our cars, which in turn is a good thing if we want to cash in.

On the other hand, individuals like myself who are looking for another car find themselves faced with sellers who feel their rust-bucket cars are worth six figures.

And, to be honest, while I drive my car a good bit......I'm a bit more nervous about it than I want to be.

I feel the same.  It's getting to a point that you'd have to born rich or get lucky and stumble into one.  I have owned my 71 Superbee since 1985, and I am lucky that I have been able to hold on to it for so long.  It's not a hemi car, just the standard 383 Bee with nice options and rust free.  Sorry no photos.

I have been trying to find another Ebody and every time I look at one the seller mentions how much "his" is worth based on BJ auctions.  It's like since a restored original Hemi can bring 6 figures plus, his POS is now worth.... you get the picture.  Fun to watch on TV though.  Just takes the average guy out of the hobby IMHO.

Definately agree with you, gb70.  Hobbies are so much more fun when you don't have to get the second mortgage or dip in to the college fund to buy parts.

Scrap yards aren't what to used to be, for the most part.  Cheap parts that used to be left for dead  now are like valuable antiques waiting for the highest bidder.

Nice 'Cuda, btw, gb70!

It is a sign of the times, if you got money to invest and the stock market is just to much of a gamble for you. You go with a sure thing, Mopar or GM muscle cars. They just continue to climb in value every year, like some properties.
At BJ this year in Palm Beach, it was GM muscle cars that were bringing the big bucks. At BJ in Scottsdale, it's Mopars that rule. On that list for 2006, has to be the most Cuda's I've seen yet.
It has gone well past ridiculous!
