Next Year's Calender..........
« on: November 23, 2005 - 01:24:28 PM »
Leaving for the holidays so I'll never make the 50 post minimum.  Besides, half of what I've submitted over the past few day trying to get there shouldn't really have been submitted anyway.  Just trying to get the count up.

I did go out and take a large number of shots for the calender.  I'll hold off the good ones hoping we'll do this again next year.  In the meantime, this is one that came out sort of 'funky'

Sbird, so close you are!  I've seen your posts.  They've contributed well to the conversation!  Don't feel like they shouldn't have been submitted!  Your car would make a great candidate for the calendar!  Can't get enough of the 'verts!

You still have until midnight.  5 more, dude!

That picture is nice!  Looks like the car's moving real fast.  "Funky" is good!

Well as Aerosmith so aptly put, "Dude looks like a lady!"

I checked his profile carefully first, 51 year old male.  LOL!

The 'dude' is indeed 51.  The driver is the dude's daughter.

Stephanie came home from college for the holidays and I immediately enlisted her to drive for me while I took shots for the calender.  This one is an out-take.  A few were really nice.  If we have a calender next year I'll send one in.  Should have 50 posts by then!

It took a combination of the right speed, the right panning and the wind whipping her hair to make it come out right.

Hey Sbird...Is that in front of Wheeler HS?

It is indeed.

We did about 45 minutes on 'The Loop" with me shooting from a car running parallel with her.  These were....ok.  Traffic just didn't allow long parallel runs.

We did about 30 minutes at Wheeler.  I was trying to blur colorful trees into the background but most of the leaves had fallen.

Out of maybe 100 shots I came out with 10 or so really good ones.  The magic of having digital.  In the days of film that would have been expensive.

Good catch!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
