WTB Racing Mirror Mounting Screws?
« on: November 23, 2005 - 07:04:32 PM »

I have purchased the mounting nuts and now need the screws (4 in total, 2 for each side).
We don't or can't find that thread down this way.

It's a machine head, counter sunk, whitworth thread screw - 3/16"

Anyone know where to buy them? I was playing around on eBay and found the screws (well, I thought I did) but lost the page.
Now I can't find them and have used all the search words. I know I saw them too!

Thanks,
NZ

Yeah NZ,

Thanks Mike, you wouldn't still happen to have the "YOU WON" email from eBay with the sellers name would you?
I'll PM or email the nguys asking for a set......

Yip, I emailed Mike the international guy who works with me and he says they no longer sell them...... :-(

This would suck if this was the only part that help up the completion, I'd be "screwed!" lol

Thanks I appreciate ANY help.

Cheers,

Are these different from the std mirror screws?  If not, I got them in an exterior screw kit from Mr G's www.mrgusa.com.  I can't say if they are exactly like the originals but they look fine.  At least they are not Robertsons.

Thanks Matt, I have sent an email away asking for the exact screws.
I don't need the entire set and they don't sell them individually.

Thanks for that!! Still, I'm open for suggestions as some places take their time to reply, if at all.

Cheers,
Carl

I know they had different mirror types back in 70, but I would think they all used the same screws. I don't know if this helps, but I'll keep looking(LOL).

Thanks MEK, I think the resto team said something about other screws will work but won't look correct and we agreed that on a part as visable as the mirrors that we'd (I woould) like to keep it looking correct. :-)

The search continues....
