    I have taken off my back up lens which came off in pieces and have found a replacement for it but would like to pull the D O D G E off to have it re-chromed is there a trick? I tried it on the broken lens and broke one of the studs on the D.  :frown:

    I kinda think they are permanently mounted. At least I have never heard of anyone taking them off. For the record, that picture you posted doesn't look bad. Going for a show winner???

     No just a little anal.  I have been able to make the new ones shine and they will look fine. I was hoping to find a way to save the others as the lens is really bad. :bloated:

    You can get them off using a Dremel.

    3/16 ball bit, you need to grind the flares off the pins and then use a pin punch to remove the letter.  The lens needs to be supported very well or you could crack the plastic.

    Thats what I would plan. A clear type of epoxy.
    Is that what you did FY1?

    I'm just thinking that would be tough since the letters are so thin. You don't want unsightly glue showing around the letters. Maybe it's possible though.  :screwy:

    Epoxy works fine, don't see it when installed.
