pictures of my "new" Challenger
« on: November 29, 2005 - 08:17:37 AM »
Here's a shot of my "survivor" Challenger that I picked up last week.
AC, auto and original paint with only a few small touch ups.  The interior is incredible especially for 52k miles.
A few minor things to put back correctly....remove the Eastwood coating on the exhaust manifolds, install the correct mufflers and tailpipes, and find the correct California Carter carb, since it's a LA built car with N95.
I'm still going over the thing.  I'm really getting into these original, unrestored cars, as they are invaluable as references for restorations, and...simply as refugees from another time.
Hope this works.
Guy

That's sweet looking Guy. It's interesting to finally see the Scat Pack bees positioned towards the front of the quarter glass instead of the rear. Maybe someone on the assembly line "dared to be different", lol.

Russ...
I haven't seen enough unrestored 70 RT's to have a feel for where those bees normally are positioned.
Mine might be towards the front edge because of the AC sticker on the passenger side quarter glass is towards the rear like it seems to always be.
Maybe AC or no AC is the determining factor?

nice RT/SE. I'd like to know if your car has the second capped riser pipe from the gas tank? Located in the trunk.
