This is alittle challenging as I don't have a pic that I know of and will meet the necessary requirements.  I'm thinking about it though and will come up with something??  If I take a regular picture, can a scanner bring it up to the necessary 2500 pixels??

Could you take your photo into your local photo shop to get to do something, perhaps? no?

Looks like the scanner thing will work.  I can adjust the resolution as needed.  Now to find an actual picture . . . lol

Uh oh...maybe we need a confirmation system for our confirmations!! j/k  Yeah, I got yours JS27NOB.  We are now up to five entries....

JS27NOB
OldSchool
ROMI
NeedaCuda23
JS27

After thinking about it...I'm going to keep an updated list of all qualified entries on the first post in this thread.  Since this has happened once, it could happen again.  So, if you sent me a pic and you have not received confirmation, you can check there to see if you are on the list.  Using both methods, we should be able to have 100% communication.

Dave, on the scanner idea-it is true that scanners produce pretty high resolution images and hopefully that will work for you.  One thing to watch out for though, is that scanners produce a very high quality representation of the actual surface of what you are scanning- so if your picture has a texture to it the scanner will faithfully reproduce that paper texture and that will be obvious in the final print -- a glossy photograph might work pretty well.  good luck!

By the way- what size is your digital camera in mega-pixies (as phrased by MEKrunner)? What is the resolution of the highest quality setting on your camera?

Well it looks like I have a 2.1 mega pixels CCD (like MEK) which is a image size of 1600 x 1200.  That is probably the best I have but am going to check with a brother to see what he has.  Still going to attemp the scanner though to see what I can come up with.  Funny I don't have that many actual photographs of my car . .  most are still digital.

4C...send me your 1600x1200 pic.  We just were able to make one work that size by using some software that Chris has.  He said it probably wouldn't work with anything smaller though.  Send it and let us try it.

PettyBlue...I did not receive anything from you...can you resend it to me.  The size posted here in the thread is way to small.  Needs to be at least 2000 pixels wide.  We might be able to do some manipulating with 1600's and up, but nothing smaller.

NeedaCuda...I did receive KudaKidds...it was too small also and I had to forward him the bad news.

This was just brought to my attention.  My e-mail address is LL_Davis@hotmail .com  When you type an e-mail address it automatically underlines it displaying it as a link which makes it so you cannot see the underscore.  So, for clarification, my e-mail address is
