Man, I'd love to submit one but I don't have any really good pictures of my car. At least not with a nice background. Shame, I think my car would be great for October. Could go good for May also, this car is a good candidate for El Cinco de Mayo......

Just went out and took shots for my submission today.  Spent a lot of time on it.  Then came back and re-read the qualifications and found I must have made 50 posts to be eligible.

And while I have attempted to be an active member since I joined a few weeks ago I am no where near 50 posts.  And I refuse to post just to meet this qualification.  It would not be fair to the members here for me to fill up forums with posts just so I could submit a picture.

it is, I must admit, a bit disheartening for new members.

Sbird...don't be disheartened.  You're almost half way there and there are still two full days left.  We have already had 2 newbies that were about half way there that were able to pull it off and it was nice to have them more active on the board.  Just read and post and you'll be surprised how fast it goes.

Sure.  I could go through and put in a bunch of 'yeah, me too' type of comments but it would Just not fair to others.  25 posts in 2 days would be just filling up the forum with a bunch of comments that would not be well thought out or deserving of the quality you guys are trying to maintain here.

The others weren't useless posts.  In one case we asked a guy some question about his car.  To me that is beneficial in that we now know more about this newbie and his car.  That's what this site is about.  The others were real, bonifide posts also....none with just a smiley (which a lot of our regular members do on a regular basis). So, just keep posting and let's see where you end up.

What I meant was....if I personally submitted that many posts in two days....some of mine would be useless and just with the goal of meeting a minimum and not saying anything intelligent.

Of course, I suppose I could always post 25 more pictures of Tara and her hood scoops.
