As I stated in an earlier post, all the entries are great, only the backgrounds, setting or lighting was lacking on some pics. Now I don't profess to be an expert (but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn), but I have taken a few photography courses and have had 5 pictures published in different mags.
SO, here's the point of this thread. Get ready for next year and take pictures like a pro! Here are a few tips.
1). When you're out cruising, always be on the look out for interesting, cool or unusal places to photograph your pride n' joy. 2.) Shoot your car in either early morning or late day sun OR on slightly overcast days. (wouldn't want to take our babies out in a storm!). 3). Location, location, location! Find a neutral setting or one that enhances the color or angles of your car. Most of the time, cars do not look good on grass.(They don't drive too well on it either!). Keep the ground and backdrop uncluttered. Parking lot lines and inside of garages aren't good. 3).Photograph your ride trying different angles, whether it be height or viewpoint. (Straight side shots or head-on shots don't really do much for your car). 4). Go home and look at your pics on a monitor. It helps to see the big picture!
