    I'll post my  :2cents: also.

    Available light is your friend, use it to your advantage. Keep the sun at your back on bright days, plan your back ground according to the suns position and time of day.

    Long and / or exessive shadows make poor photos, take photos from 11 am to 1 pm on bright sunny days.

    On overcast days, the clouds act like big light diffusers, it is possible to ge some great shots on overcast days.

    Some cameras do not give "true" colors, so play with your camear and subject a lot to see what works for you and your subject.

    If you have a white Challenger, a LARGE bulldozer makes for a great Vanishing Point type background. That one is for  Lucy and Carl. :wave:

    Now go play with your cameras and cars, after all,  :useless:

    Ghost, I like the composition of the 'alley shot'. You may need a tripod and a very slow shutter spped to get better (more light) results.

    Goody, I like shots 2,3 and 4 the best. nearly perfect lighting!

    Andrew, what a diff with the poles gone! Now, get you get the lines off the pavement? :lol:

    xs29- heres a photoshop of your car. I took out the power lines, pavement lines and the rest of the continental US. Your car is now on a Hawaiian vacation, in Maui.

    Thanks Andrew!  I dabble with Paint Shop Pro 8 myself, but being self trained I haven't gotten too good at it... :eek4:

    Well, first the car got to spent three years in Germany, now it beats me to Hawaii...  :bigthumb:

    Might dig out some of my old "photoshops" to post... where did I put them?  :dunno:

    I would definatly need a tripod, since my hands aren't very steady at all.  As for the low shutter speed, I found out that just disabling the flash on my digi-cam has a good effect in low light conditions.

    Hey XS - your 4th pic down at the beginning of this thread is one of the best I've seen of any Cuda pic in any book, calander etc.

    Did you post that for the calander? That would've been a slam dunk winner. All I can say is WOWSA! You know how to snap pics also. I can see next years calander is going to be a prof grade..

    Thanks 71fish!  :wave:  I submitted a different picture, but the picture you like was one of the final three that I picked from.  I am trying to take better pictures after years of just taking the standard car show pictures with busy backgrounds.  I am currently scouting locations and times for my next attempt... Texas Motor Speedway is just a few miles from me, so I might see if their security folks will cooperate and let me take some pictures...
