WANTED: Old Mopar.
« on: December 03, 2002 - 11:08:17 PM »
Hey guys, Great site!

I'm interested in buying (like everyone else) an e-body mopar.  I would like to find a 71 cuda or challenger.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Am I crazy to think I can find a decent e-body between 6 and 8K?  I'm ok with non matching numbers and any engine is fine (440 would be great, but I would be happy with 383 or 340).  I expect the car to need work, but I would like a straight car to start with.  Let me know if you can help.

Thanks

Welcome to the board Cody!  Nah, you're not crazy.  You might have a tougher time finding a 71 Cuda for that price...71 Challenger should be no problem.  Most people on the board check out eBay (I've bought 2 cars off there with NO problems at all), but there are a lot of other places on the web to check out.  If I see any, I'll post here.

Again, welcome!

I now know it will take more $ for the 71 cuda, but that's ok.  I've raised the amount I will spend on the car to be assured I can get a 71 Cuda.

EDIT, just seeing if old posts are editable?

Dang, it's been 12 years since I first made a post on this site.  Came here looking for an ebody and found some great friends!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this site who takes the time to post helpful information for newbies.  Your welcoming attitude is one of the many great things about this site.   :worshippy

Hope to be around another 12 years!   AND I'm still looking for Old Mopars!    :cooldancing:

I was wondering Cody if you have started any of the cars you have bought? I'm sure your time has been used up building your shop though?

Yes, a few projects have been started as time permitted while I've been building the new shop.  One of the 71's Cuda's and one of the T/A's are started.  I built the engine for each of them and they both have the transmission done.  I won't be able to start the body work and paint them until I get the new shop done and that's about 6 to 8 weeks away.

Hey Cody - your inbox is full.

I have a question about that 71 you have which I believe originated out of San Jose.
