Hey, if he gets his price more power to him. I wonder what his reserve is. i know he said he traded it for a 40's coupe/roadster. The car is totally solid, but not many are will ing to pay big bucks for a tubbed racer. Hope it falls into good hands.

Definately a head turner!  Hope he gets the price he wants.  He just got that car didn't he?

To the right guy, this is a sweet ride!

Hey, I love E-bodies but this car is ugly. A twin scoop hood with a blower looks lame. Use a flat hood. The rear flares were wicked cool in the 70's, but not now.  :puke:  I do like the color however.

For being a nostalgic racer, it's a pretty cool car.  For todays standards, most don't like to see a 'Cuda look this way, but I think it's still pretty darn cool.

yeah... not a fan of the fender flares.  I would like those meats tucked, like 528HemiCuda's car.

I certainly like the car.. cause I've seen it in person.. but I bet the bidding stalls @ 15-16k. The blower is old & needs to be rebuilt IMO. The car would be worth more if he tried to part out the blower, had the metal flares removed.. hopefully fixing the lip and then.. throw a 440 in it w/ a flat hood.

No ones gonna pay big cuda dollars for an older blower setup. the car runs hot. that much i know.

I think the car will be bid up to less than $20,000 if it even brings that. It would be worth more money if it were stock.

Sort of a tech question if I may throw it out there.

Why would this car run hot?  Is it from the Blower?  Do all blown cars run hot?

It has 8.25:1 compression.  Could you just yank the blower and put on a 440 intake and a carb and it could still run?  Any ideas?

Variious reasons for running hot. Could be a timing issue, radiator issue, water pump issue, engine bored too closely to the water jackets, etc. With an engine like this, I would tend to belive the last. Some people build these cars for ultimate displacement, planning to only use the car a 1/4 mile at a time.

Like A383 said.  Also anytime you compress air it will heat up due to the friction.  You can see this in your air compressor.  To counter act it, an intercooler is sometimes used.
