Radio and HVAC control trim plate texture paint
« on: December 07, 2005 - 08:22:20 PM »
Hi everyone,
I am in the process of restoring my dash in my Challenger this winter. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestion on what to use or have used for respraying the texture on the Radio Trim Plate and the HVAC trim plate. Both my pieces have wear spots on them and I know they were sprayed with a textured paint, but have had no luck in finding anything suitable. Any help would be GREATLY appreciatted!  :worshippy

I used a textured paint product in a spray can. Was made for plastic, I think it was a Krylon or Rustolem product. It worked pretty well on the long lower plastic dash trim. Funny, I ran across this on Moparts last nite. Greg Garner used a PPG product that seems to have worked well for him.

Ck it out:
