New Canuck on the Block
« on: December 08, 2005 - 01:06:15 PM »
Hello to you all. I registered a couple of weeks back and thought an intro should be done. I am rebuilding a 73 Challenger 340/4spd but repowering with a 230 casting 451 stroker and 4 spd OD with 3.91 gears. I am happy to say that I will have the help of Chryco Psycho (as we both live in Calgary) to build and setup the motor. We expect to get somewhere around the 600 flywheel HP mark but time will tell. Body is currently in for rotisserie and she will be painted Curious Yellow and normal E Body blackout schemes - no vinyl. Look for the 2 black marks on a hiway near you next summer.

Welcome to the site, 73EStroker.  You and Neil will end up building one killer engine for that '73 of yours.  Be sure to keep us up-to-date with all the details in both the engine build up and the body restoration.

Welcome to the site. Can't wait to see the Challenger.
And if Chryco has a hand in the build up I'm sure it's going to be a monster. I'll be watching this build up closely for ideas, as I have a 400 I'm going to stroke for my Duster for it's next motor.

Thanks for the words of encuragement folks. The car is a bit ugly now with the quarters off but as soon as it is painted I will post pics. The engine will have Ross pistons, eagle rods, 69 440 4 spd crank, Indy EZs, Lunati solid cam, Holley 950 Street Dom manifold. Yes we are lucky to have Chryco here. NZ440R/T - I am originally from Taupiri in the North Island. Where are you located? It may nit be impossible but wife and I could think about shipping the car down and using it in kiwi for a while. I am a dual citizen.

Welcome to cc.com 73EStroker! We all like to see pictures in progress so don't worry about what it looks like now. Hope the stroker works out to be a blast and I can't wait to see the black rubber marks.
