    Yes, I'm shallow and i want bragging rights  :smokin:

    Anyway, so far as i knoiw, the engine is stock, a 360 ci v-8 with a four barrel carb. the engine did not come with the car originally, the previous owner swappe4d out the 318.

    I don't know too much about engine dynamics, so if it isn't possible to get an approximate hp number, then that's cool.

    I don't have access to a dynomometer or i'd check it myself. nor am i old enough to go to the strip to get a 1/4 mile time (Age limit is 18)

    And besides, I have to be able to smoke the new challenger when it comes out  :bigsmile:

    sorry for the acronymn/abbreiviation hell title, i didn't have enough room for everything

    and yes, i did seaerch this before posting, didn't get anything

    360s were never built as performance engines , all had poor cams & low compression , so maybe 185 hp & lots of torque

    Depends on the year of the engine really. But there about that and not much more. The good news is a set of good heads with a reduced chamber for a raised comp ratio and a good cam wake these things up nicelt.

    The 360 4bbl code E85 was rated at 245hp from the factory. This engine came out in 1974 and had the 340 cam with 8.4 or 8.5 compression and windage tray and roller timing chain.
    were a very good engine.
