    on my cuda, the rear tires rub the wheel wells, so im going to put adjustable rear shox on, and was wondering what to go with, gas or air, also, whats a good brand

    nope, not yet, thats just what my uncle told me... i just got off the phone with the guy halling it, and if the snow storm he has been caught up in for the last few gives him a chance, he should be here monday-tuesday  :jumping:

    Go with a good gas shock.  Parts are only worth what you are will to pay for.  I would check to see that the leaf springs haven't started to sag (common problem).  You can get them rearched at a big rig shop, or for a little more buy new ones (but I don't reccomend super stocks, unless you are just going to drag race this car).  Also check the spring bushings, make sure they are not shot, allowing the rear end to move side to side.  Good luck!! :bigthumb:

    I would also go with gas shocks. If you need to have your sagging springs corrected I would go with new springs from espo Springs N Things as they can give you a 1 inch over stock or 2 inch over stock to keep the car wheel wells away from your tires. I ordered my new springs from them last tuesday and they were delivered to my door on Friday.  I had them in 3 days and they told me they make their springs to order and this way you always get a matched set for the same ride height side to side. I bought the 1inch over stock spring to raise the rear end of my 71 Challenger a little bit higher than stock. If you go with them they have a toll free number 1 800-903-9019.

     :iagree: That's the path I took. Then you can use any kind of shock, and not have a harsh ride. Changing out those springs is a dirty job though.  :pullinghair:

     :thinkerg:  Could just be funny offset wheels.  If they are the ones in the photos, check the back spacing.  Just 'cause they bolt up doesn't mean they're right!

    That's a good point about after-market wheels. Maybe not enough backspace? Do you know the rim and tire size?

    maybe some minor trimming would fix it.  Never do airshocks though  :crazy:

    i think the problem im running into is the back tires are too WIDE, and they rub the wheel well, so im need to life the back up a little so they done rub

    or the rear rims have the wrong offset  ,possibly swapping rear rims will tuck the rear tires an extra 1/2" or so

    I had the same problem with my aftermarket wheels.  All better now that I went back to the rallye wheels.  Check your backspacing, I bet that is the problem.

    yay!!!! i figured it out... i was showing it to a local chevy restoration guy, and he told me the problem... i need to get different rims, and jus move  them in a little, just like some of you said!
