Re-chroming mirrors
« on: December 17, 2005 - 05:45:48 PM »
I've gotten my 1970 mirrors off the  Challenger and taken them apart. Can anybody out there recommend a good rechrome shop? I live in south central Wisconsin, if anybody knows of one in this area. Thanks!

Here's a couple of options...

Badger Plating Inc                                     (Warning, I guess Badger Plating it pricey from what I've read.)
(414) 482-4820 4021 S Kinnickinnic Ave
Milwaukee, WI

epi.com                                                 (Give these guys a try.  I'd be curious to see what they charge because I want to get my chrome racing mirror replated, too.)
Electrochemical Products, Inc.
17000 West Lincoln Avenue
New Berlin, WI 53151-2781
Phone Number: 262-786-9330
Fax Number: 262-786-9403

Hope this helps you some.

Thanks for the tips, Street Challenged! I'll give these guys a call this week, see what kind of work they do and what they charge. I'll let you know what I find.

70RTdroptop, after checking out the website again I think I accidentally gave you a place that specializes in selling the chemicals used for plating metal...Now I'm doubting myself if they actually do these processes themselves, too.  Maybe we're stuck with the higher pricing of Badger Plating, Inc. out of Milwaukee? :dunno:  I appologize for this if this is the case. :o :sadwavey:

If none of those pan out, I sent mine to Nu-chrome.

I've had great luck with Sioux Plating in Sioux City, IA...I've had bumpers, headers, etc chromed there and they have been perfect every time.

Too bad it's across the state from you...
