Well, they "kind-of" had it right........

Just goes to show, even back then the concept cars weren't like the cars actually made.

Thanks for posting that.

Yea, but the car was in production in Aug. How hard a sketch could that be to make.

Article was in 7/69 issue, dont know when the actual scetch was made. It just kinda gives you an idea how hot the muscle car wars  must have been. Car life was a kick azz magazine in the 60's. That particular issue test the 69 six pack super bee, boss 429 mustang & 455 olds 442. it also relists all the performance data on all the 69 cars it tested that year including 2 hemi charger 500's & the rare 69 cuda 440.

Spy photos were not common back then.

Also keep in mind the 3 to 4 month lead time that magazines use to write, print and distribute the issues. Assuming it works like today, the July magazine would have actually hit in June, meaning that the article would have been written in or before February.

I like how it looks like a cross between a 'Cuda in the front and a Challenger in the back. Also, they drew the front windshield trim and seats like a Camoreo.

Great pic  :woohoo:

Here's a shot of the cover in case someone wants to add that issue to their library...really, most of my magazines are in better condition - leftover habit from my comic book collectin' days. Nice pic xblade
