    Well, we got the motor dropped in this weekend. Thought I'd share some pictures...(sorry for the decade's worth of dust on everything  :grinyes:






    I was surprised at how easy it went in even with the headers. The 383 in the Coronet was a nightmare with the headers and power steering.

    I got the mangled wiring harness figured out so as soon as we get a flywheel we should be able to fire her up!!! I'll get some video of that and post it in a few weeks.

    Hoist plate? That's my handle... I've been doing some curls... I lifted the darn'd thing in myself  :roflsmiley:

    Just kidding...

    I'm sure my old man made it back in the day out of a plate of steel. I'm not sure where it came from, just remember it sitting on the shelf for years.

    The 3 holes in the vertical plate work well for tilting the motor front to back. The front most attaching point angles the motor perfectly so the headers slide right in.

    I'm not sure if the car will be able to smoke the tires though  :grinyes:

    KTO the car looks great with the motor in it. What brand were the Headers? They do look like a pretty easy to install. Hope the snow melts soon so you can get out and drive the Cuda. Hope everything goes smooth from here on out as my Cuda project has hit all kinds of small snags along the way.

    Sorry, I am unsure on the brand of the headers. I think they might be cheapies from summit. They were ordered a long time ago but were in a summit box and were painted black. We stripped the black and coated them with VHT. I've had good luck with it on my Coronet...you can hold a torch to the stuff and it doesn't burn.

    Hey KTO,
    Is the car a '73 or a '74?  What's the paint scheme. I noticed the AAR look with the blacked out fenders. Looks like it's going to be a nice ride.

    It is a 73. Sassy Grass green or Green Go for Dodge. Paint code 1971 FJ6 I think.

    Here are a couple pictures I posted last week..



    The stripe is an AAR stripe but we have a decal shop recreating the AAR badge to say 440 sixpack (similiar to this picture I doctored)
