Make a Wish Car....Hemi Fury
« on: December 19, 2005 - 12:06:14 PM »
Have you ever watched American Hot Rod on Discovery Channel? Boyd and his crew are building a black Hemi Fury that's slammed with huge wheels. The episode is called Make a Wish. They call the project Max Hemi Fury. This car is so *****in. Old Furys get me all giddy when they're all done up. I saw a Challenger there at their shop sitting outside all primered up also. Maybe they'll show that car being done also.

I saw that series of episodes.  It was a nice looking car.  I really liked the fact is was a black car with the red interior.  Very classic!
The new Mopar Action had a real sleeper of a car.  I believe it was a Fury (early 70's), with a nondescript metalic brown, vinal top, stock interior, but with a Hemi crammed in it.  Looked very cool and like something my grandmother would have been driving.

Yeah, I saw that car in that issue also. Now as far as Boyd goes, he needs a Wardrobe makeover. Anyone who wears Hawaiin shirts everyday is  :screwy:

The show has been cancelled, so don't worry, you won't have to look at his shirt any longer.

Thanks for the heads up. When I saw it at the end, I realized I might have mislabeled it.

American Hot Rod, like American Chopper got to be real boring. The shows are like friggin soaps, everybody yelling at everyone, stuff about there personal life. Fighting, crying, pissing whinning....BS. Just show the damm cars being built without all the drama. Boyd looks like he is stuck in the 80's, and just comes out of his office to *&%$#@ at someone.
The same goes for American Chopper.

So TC, I see you really like those "pregnant doggin" Furys. :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:  Sorry, that has to be one of the best vulgur language cover-ups this board has ever created.  I'll have to watch that episode as it sounds like it'll be pretty cool.  BTW: is this a '64 Sport Fury by any chance?  I always liked how those look.  (My neighbor with the body shop bought one that'll need a lot of work last summer.  He plans on a 5.7 or 6.1 Hemi swap in it.)

Think it was actually a 64 Polara. Ya know the one with the funky grille? Head light pair is off set.

First of all,...it's a 63 dodge 330 polara.

Second... have you guys checked to see what the alternative programming is now that some of these shows are gone? I would rather watch a mediocre show about hotrods than a great show about killer bees any day of the week. I hear you guys piss and moan about a show being bad when you have the answer in your hand most of the evening. It's called a remote control. Just change the f*ing channel for christ sakes and quit acting like big whiney babies.
