my fish needs gills
« on: December 20, 2005 - 02:42:00 PM »
hello to everyone. I would like your oppinions on this Idea I have. lets start by saying ive got a 69 fastback I was thinking of putting gills in the front fenders the problem im having is my fenders are rust free. should I cut them up and put real gills in? thought about airbrushing them in. third option would be some sort of vinyl graphics. anyone know of where I could even get them? and please do give me your input on this wether you like the idea or not. oh ya have merry christmas and i hope you all get everything you want.

I have seen the graphic stickers.....they look really stupid..........in my opinion.  Maybe for your truck or something to be funny but I would not put them on your car.  Just my  :2cents:

I haven't seen the decals, so I can't comment on that... but I wouldn't hack up your fenders either. If you decide the look isn't what you expected, then it might be tough to get another set that is solid. Just my thoughts.  :dunno:

This guy makes the decals and they look pretty good from a distance but it looks like the sites under construction-

I would not cut a nice set of fenders but I suppose you could always weld `em up later if you changed your mind.

thanks torredcuda would like to try the decals just to see how it looks. I see you have 69 with a 360 in it. I just bought a 360 for mine and have friend doing a 904 for it. the gills are just an idea of mine for a while. I just like being a little different.

No problem in that, as my car is definitely different.  :grinyes: Maybe the decals would help you decide what you want to do. If they look like crap to you, then just take them off, and no harm done to the car. I just would hate to see you cut away at your fenders if they wouldn't look right.

Can someone photochop some on the car so we can see what it looks like.   :dunno:    If it looks cool . . . I'd probably do it.   :clapping:

Yea, I figured my opinion would more than likely have a most profound impact on the outcome :roflsmiley:
