Smart cars ?
« on: December 21, 2005 - 03:36:30 PM »
Hello all,
Here in Canada we have an upcoming election. One party leader was campaigning the city, and was being driven around in one of those new "smart cars" .I just wish I had pics to show! :roflsmiley:
To my American friends, I just couldn't see GWB being driven around in one of those.
Has anyone seen these? It kinda looked like a cross between a "car" and a grocery cart. I don't know if you guys seen any of them around, but if not your not missing anything. I don't care if oil goes to 100$/barrel.
An encounter with even a midsize car, not to mention an SUV or pickup,I would want to have my life insurance in full force!

Mikey

I'd love to have one!  It'd be great for getting to the kitchen from the sofa.  Hell, cut a hole through the seat cusion and install a toilet paper dispenser and I'd never have to get out 'till bed time! :bananasmi

Yeah, I remember that too.  Kind of like cow tippin' LOL!  I think someone posted a video or pics about it on this site a while ago.  I'll have to try to find it because it made me laugh like crazy!

Here is the link.  Now you have to register to enter the site where the article is which stinks, but if you wanna read it I guess it is worth it.

Oh, and Killer Mopar, it was you who posted the article to begin with!

Who was it riding around in a German car? Sounds like something Martin would do.

They really do look like something I would not want to drive unless their is no gas left. I'll ride my Harley first if the gas is in short demand.

I want to see one in behind a Semi on the highway , I bet they can`t even get out of the draft until the truck slows down !!!
I don`t understand why anyone would buy one , the TDI Jetta get better fuel milage & is a lot safer & more comfortable as well + it could carry 4 people
