power window wiring?
« on: December 22, 2005 - 01:34:12 PM »
 I got my car back from the body shop but they some how caused the wiring to pop out of the pastic case/square that held them in the right configuration for the switch.  I have a 1970 car and I know the diagram for the front passenger side is shown incorrectly in the shop manual.  Can someone show me a picture of the wiring sequence in the case/square?   :picture: I also need a picture of the drivers master switch sequence too. Does anyone know where I can get a new case for the passenger side wires?  The current one will work but every time we take the door panel off it explodes and I have this problem again.   :swaying:  Suggestions?  I don't want to resort to super glue.  Thanks :faint:

I just bought a double switch retainer and matching switch plug from Roger in Canada.  Email him here: Dodger69@shaw.ca

What year and model is your car? I have a 72 wiring schematic I can post for you
72' Cuda restomod
70 Mustang Mach 1
07' Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Dbl cab in Speedway Blue!
01' Honda 1100 Shadow Sabre
96' Seadoo Challenger

:bricks1: Sorry for not replying sooner.  Holidays kept me distracted.  My car is a 1970.  I know the schematic for 1970 and 1971 are the same.  :hyper: Unfortunately the schematic for the front passenger wiring is incorrect in the book.  If you could post your schematic I can compare it against the 71 version to see if they corrected that error in your book. :woohoo:

since they didnt offer power windows on the 72 Barracuda there was no schematic listed. However, here is one for the 72 Satellite which may be close enough to help you draw some logical assumptions on your system
