A Moment of Silence, Please
« on: December 23, 2005 - 09:37:26 AM »
Early yesterday morning, there was a garage fire in my home town that claimed three Mopars.  A Challenger, a Daytona, and a Road Runner.  Altho no one was injured, there were vehicular casualties.

Here is a link to the news article.

Wow that must have been one hell of a fire, it completely melted the nose cap off that Daytona and it lookes like the wing is gone too. Sad to see another Daytona gone....I wonder if it would even be worth restoring again. Also, if that guy had an expensive Daytona than his challenger and roadrunner must have been pretty nice.....Its really sad to see that happen, I knew if it happened to me I would be devasted.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

That has to hurt! Not being a body man of any sorts---can you restore a car that has been in a fire/depending on how hot it got--or are they pretty much a total loss after burning?
