Glad to have found this site and become a new member. I have already learned a lot of new and interesting things by browsing the posts, and look forward to posting some pictures of my car in the near future. Who knows maybe I can be of help to someone with a scrap of information or two. About the car: 1970 BS23VOE, bought from my cousin in 1978 for $1000.00, he bought it from the original owner in 1972 when the guy took delivery of his Hemi 'Cuda The car is black with white int- trac pak-4spd-shaker-rear wing-54k miles- numbers car with virtually no rust. It's been stored pretty much since I bought it and I'm just about ready to freshen it up, and get it on the road. the car has had the engine out of it and needs to be painted and put back together. It was missing a few small things when I got it and I've been collecting parts on nd off over the years.
While I don't want a fully rotiserie trailer queen, I would like to get it painted and drop in a nice stroker motor to putt around town in until it comes time to turn it into a bone stock fully restored museum piece. I don't want to take chance on scattering the numbers block. When I first got the car, it had 12 to 1 compression and would it would launch the ash tray out of the dash clean back till it hit the back seat when I banged second gear. Oh those were the days, I cured several people of every again saying they wanted to go for a really fast ride, by glueing them to the seat until the old girl hit 6500 rpm in 4th gear with a 3.54 final drive. I remember turning several people into a slouched down, seat clutching, reaching for an imaginary brake pedal , lump of sreaming trembling flesh. Then there were these two guys from Germany I gave a ride to that will never speak of king Porsche the same way erver again, but that's another story. Let the good times roll...
