I took my pink love of my life out for a ride this Christmas Eve.  I also gave her a bath.  It had a nice layer of dust on it and I needed to wash it before I covered her up for the winter.  It felt so good to drive her over to the gas station to fill her up.  It's gonna be a long long winter......  :pullinghair:

you drove it 2 days ago!?! wow, i would be scared to do that, it has been above freezing for a few days, but there is still lots of salt on the road. it does a nice job on the road, but not so nice on metal

I've never even SEEN salt on a road! That's gotta suck! You'd think they could come up with a cheap non corrosive alternative in the 21st century!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do they even talk about getting a suibstitute! I'd be  :swear: :stomp: :pullinghair: :banghead:

Salt would absolutely suck on the roads. We have had great weather as always here. I invite any of you thinking of moving to look me up. It was 81 degrees here today. A little warm for Christmas weather, but great for enjoying the cars and outdoors.

We had some heavy rain here that washed most of the salt away.  I know it wasn't the best idea but I couldn't help myself.  I did wash down the entire car, underside included before I covered her and put her away for the remainder of the winter.

Cold and wet here in Ohio as well. Besides covering for the winter what else do you do to hibernate? Do you drain any fluids or just start the car up every couple weeks?

I just fill my gas tank, and start her up every week or two.  I also go and sit in the Cuda every now and then just to make myself feel better!  LOL

salt isn't bad, it does make our vehicles rust. its usually a mixture of salt and sand, but salt doesnt work if it gets too cold (below 10 degress maybe), so there isnt much of a point to put it on then unless its on and the temp gets warm enought for it to work. its better than driving on ice for sure.

I feel for you guys out there i the cold. BUT, I do have a plan! Send all your cars to me for the winter...then, when you want to drive them...just come on over and drive them. I can guarantee you wont have salt on the roads. You are always welcome!
