not that it doesnt have enough, cuz it has PLENTY... but if i were going to boost it up a lil, what would be some good things to look into

heres what i have (i might have listed some things twice, and maybe some info thats not important... i just copied and pasted it from the original ad for the car)

It is a totally rebuilt 440 ("72 model eng) 030 over, shaved heads, alum intake, Mopar windage tray, double roller cam chain set, 750 Edelbrock carb, B&M ratchet shifter, Chrysler HP exh mans, 2.5 in exh, 3.23 open 8.75 rear, reblt 727 w/ shift kit.

It has all new bushings in front end, new calipers, pads, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, radiator, water pump, alternator, power steering pump, starter, complete exhaust, rebuilt eng & trans w/ shift kit, grill, headlight buckets, dash, headliner, carpet, 'Cuda throw mats, seat covers, front seat foam, shocks, master cyl, booster, B&M shifter, Cd radio(not orig of course), sub woofer w/ amp, Tach (orig still works but we hooked lead to new tach, ignition modue coil & more

OK, the carb. might be a little small. Do you have any idea what cam is in the engine??? Knowing that would help us. It might be set up as a highway demon, and you might not know it. What I'm getting at is my car has a 3:23 rear, but the power band in my cam is 2500 RPM and beyond. That means after 55 MPH, my car takes off like a bat out of you know where.  :ylsuper:

no... im not sure about the cam... but i can find out this weekend when my dad gets home

im still learning about these cars... my dad went to a votec to be a mechanic, and he worked in garages for lots of years, but he is only home on the weekends, so im trying to learn as much as i can on my own

i love working on them... i just dont exactly no how  :lol2:        also, if anyone knows any good books or movies that teach you about mechanic work, please let me know

Heads, intake, Cam , exhaust & yes the carb is small make the biggest differences in power out put
3 times now I have proven that a worked 440 will gain 60 RWHP going from a 850 carb to a 1050 Dominator

I would suggest an X pipe into your 2.5 in exhaust. You would be amazed at the power and driveability increase. It shouldn't cost that much to put in line with the existing system you have.

 A quick one shot power increase would be to gear it up.  Go from a 3.23 up to a 3.91.  It wouldn't burn any more fuel than a batch of engine mods, and your would be able to feel the difference.  Just a thought....   :cooldancing:  ...................Oldschool

Your engine sounds a lot like mine  build wise so I am going to make a few suggestions.
750 cfm carb sounds to lite for that setup , I am running a 750 but am going to try a 850 to see if it breathes better
3.23 open rear , as  Oldschool said a bigger gear will help a lot , I am running a 3.55 , would like to go to a 3.73 or 3.91  also a suregrip will help, I have an open right now and have to pedal it off the line
last, I have a B&M Quicksilver ratchet shifter and I hate it . I have a Slapstick to go in the car, I never did like any of the cable shifters. Just my  :2cents:

o ya, and i by doing this i cant loose too much in fuel milage, cuz its also my daily driver
