Upper control arm & torsion bar questions - 72 Cuda
« on: December 30, 2005 - 03:37:53 PM »
When removing the upper control arm on the left side, I noticed a sleeve on the rear bushing, but there was none on the right.  Should there be one?  Also, is there a special tool to remove the torsion bar once the suspension is unhooked?  Thank you!

the sleeves were added from the factroy to add support , they are not nessisaary when replacing the bushings but can be re installed
I undo the nut on the front of the lower control arm pivot pin & pry both the Lower control arm & T bar back together , they remove extremely easily this way with no damage

Thank you very much for your help.  I tried the torsion bar suggestion, which worked great.
