oil on top of gear box?
« on: December 30, 2005 - 06:40:36 PM »
It seems that there is oil pooled up where the shaft goes into my manual steering box? haven't seen a spot below.
So what does this mean?
Can the level be checked or added to?
What type of fluid?

they are usually filled with grease , there is a plug on the body to check , are you sure the pil is not from something else leaking onto it ?

if it is from someting else it's old. The engine, front suspension is very clean.

p.s. looks like I fixed the Valve cover leak..
thanks again.
