Santa brought me an air compressor this year but in typical chain store fashion they included a less then top quality tool kit. Well I went out to the garage to do some playing around with it and the ratchet lasted about three uses and then it simply stopped running. Now it just sits there and won't drive in forward or reverse direction. It was abit on the chilly side, maybe around 32F and also before running it for the first time a put several drops of air tool oil into the fitting. I brought the air ratchet inside to warm up and will try it again tomorrow before heading back to the store with it. My question is, I was running maybe 35-50psi when it was working, is this too much pressure? Also, is it common practice to use oil in the tools?
