Yeah, I saw this thread but it is so old that the pics of the car are gone into red x hibernation. My favorite Barracuda in the whole world was in an article years ago. Gran Coupe vert, lemon twist, 383-4/4 speed, white gut and top, elastomeric bumpers, air, etc, just an awesome car, I love GC's.

Check out this car just sold on e-Bay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-OF-POSSIBLY-1-BUILT-1-OF-THE-RAREST-MOPARS_W0QQitemZ320141201640QQihZ011QQcategoryZ6409QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

My T/A clone is a factory FM3 car, with the A93 option it's 1 of 3 known to exist.

I've owned almost 100 old Mopars, my pink car gets more attention than some of the hemi cars i used to own....it's an eye grabbing color for certain.

What are you looking to get for it?

This car is probably not as desirable, but it sure looks to be a rare car. 1970 Barracuda, "B" code 198 CI motor with a 3spd manual, FM3.

Probably a dumb question, but what makes a Gran Coupe different from a regular Cuda?

Gran Coupe is a Barracuda. It is the Plymouth equivilant of the SE Challenger with the overhead console, upscale interior, basically a fancier car, lots of them with power windows and air conditioning. The top engine for a Gran Coupe was the 383-4 engine.

Hey Barry,

Just curious, why do you think it's a fakey?  Just trying to learn a little from the Master.... call me "grasshopper"....

I asked that once, I actually called myself a grasshopper too, lol

He wont tell you, for the simple reason that people get to know how they are fake, and they would improve on the design, making them harder to spot.   :2thumbs:

There is of course a flip side to that perspective, and it is that if prospective buyers are inlightened, it will reduce the likelhood that a scammer would be successful. There are other knowledgeable guys who would be happy to educate you on identifying fake or repop tags.

Is there something wrong with this post? The only pics that show are the two of the pink data plate on the last page. Are the pics showing up on your puter?
