New Years Day 2006 Cuda Convert
« on: January 02, 2006 - 09:18:18 AM »
Hi everyone and happy new year,  im a newb to the site and have recently posted pics of my 71 Shaker challenger R/T,  but i purchased something new years day that i have to share, ill try to be brief!   Im from Nashville TN area and met some folks a few years back in Canton GA that needed some misc parts for a 68 RR resto , since i was going thru GA on my way to visit my dad in South Carolina i dropped some parts off to the guy and actually met the guy. I did not know at the know at the time what great people Joe and Julie Holcomb were or what great friends we would be. You know him on this site as  (  qluber) with the sweet 71 R/T in Marrietta GA.   Getting on with the story , me and my wife and now young son visit them regularly and hit all the big shows, mopar nats etc.     Last year on New years day we pulled a rusty 67 GTX out of the bushes that had been setting 20 plus years, yellow and black 440 a/t car. Kinda cool on new years day huh!    Well this new years we done just a little better,  this car as alot of local people know is one that  has never been for sale, and i too had spoke with the guy a year ago and basically got a cussing.  Joe new about the car and we persued it but had givin up.  New years day with a stack of hundreds 6 inches deep we approached the door expecting the worst.  turns out they had just talked about the fact the car was getting in bad shape and givin up on fixing the car. The car being a 1970 Cuda Convert, 340 4 speed  B7 blue, white top and interior, numbers matching one owner car!       Right day, right place, right time.   With the help of good friends and great timing, this car is now in the dry in Tennessee. pics attached. love to here any info on this car if you know it, came from Smyrna GA just outside of atlanta.   Thanks  Ronnie

Nice combination 340/4 speed !
so did she know what it was worth or did you get her for used car $.
I've found that original owners either have been hit up to sell their car so many times they think it's worth a million $ or they paid $3k for it new and sell it for normal used car $.
