A friend of mine was driving, and saw a 70 Cuda sitting in someone's yard on blocks. He told me where it was, and I went to have a look. I knocked on the door, and introduced myself to the owner. I told him I just dropped by to talk shop, and take a look at his car. It's a red 1970 Cuda. It had 383 hockey stripe, but he said it had a 440 4bbl. There was also 6 pack hood scoop installed, and not very well I might add. it was sitting uncovered and up on blocks. The body was in great shape. No rust on any of the panels, and only some light surface rust on the roof. The car had an auto tranny with a B&M shifter that he said did not work. It was also partially tubbed. The guy said that the car needed some engine work, and that it hadn't run for 2 years, although, the tags had 1997 stickers on them
I talked to him for a few minutes, and asked him if he was going to put it back on the road. That's when I got the, "I'm planning on it...someday when I get some money". By the looks of things, that's going to be quite some time. So, I left him my name and number, and told him that if he needed any help when he decided to start working on it, to give me a call. I'll leave it there for now. Once I get my garage up, and have more room, I may go back with some cash in hand, and see what I can do. I'd hate to see that car just sit and rot into the ground.
