Mirror placement

I hope this is where this question belongs, I am new and still trying to figure out what goes where.
I have a '73 Barracuda, B5 blue and am adding a right side rally mirror. I need measurements as to the proper place to mount it. If the placement is the same as on the drivers door, that's fine, but before I go drilling holes anywhere, I really want to be sure.
By the way, like the site; a lot.

This is where that question belongs!!  Good job!!   As for placement, I believe they are the same on each door!

Right... My white car came with both mirrors and they are mounted the same,, 15 inches from the front of the door

Thanks for the info.... I can only hope that, when my car is done, it will be as nice as some I see here.
