I own 3 little convert daily drivers.
When I bought my cordoba the wife said
"you have 3 real nice cars, why buy that old car?"
I told her I owned a new 77 doba growing up, I can't afford my dream car, a challenger,
and I"M 51 YEARS OLD & GOING THROUGH A MID LIFE CRISES.
So it's either that 27 year old car, or a 27 year old girl, you choose.
Got the doba.
Nine months later I found the challenger, a 72. Was able to swing a good deal.
I owned a new 71 growing up, but this would have to do.
When I told the little lady, she threatened to call my
father and tell him I was buying another car.
I laughed, I'm 52 ( 2 yrs ago) and you are gonna call my father?
?
WAH WAH WAH, what's he gonna do, send me to bed without my dinner?
Then I made plans to purchase a member's 71 plumb crazy convert, white top, white interior,
fresh restoration.
She reminded me that I promised NO MORE CARS after the chally.
She reminded me that I promised her new flooring in the house after I was done with
the doba.
I reneged, and promised to get it done after I was done with the 72 chally.
So what's a lying no good hubby to do?
I whipped out the check from the loan company for the car, I lied and said there was a huge prepayment penalty so I was "locked into" the purchase of the 71.
Well, at the last minute the deal fell through and my wife thinks she had the last laugh.
But she aint got the new floors.
