Cuda side window glass alignment
« on: January 08, 2006 - 08:24:58 PM »
Hey Guys and Gals!

My 71 cuda needs the driver's door glass aligned and I've been messing with it all weekend. The area where I'm having trouble is the top-rear part of the glass is a 1/4 inch from the weatherstriping on the roof. It is also the same distance from the top of the rear quarter glass. The window is flush near the bottom of the quarter glass and at the top, front part of the window. Any ideas on what to change or move?

Thanks

there are adjustable Stops under the door panel to limit top travel they bump against the nylon pegs in the glass

Yes, I have it at the stops okay. I'll attach a picture. The top of the glass near the quarter glass is too far and away from the seal. Thanks for the input.

I've adjusted those several times. I'll try them again. I know the ones you're tlaking about. Two at the bottom for the front track and one for the rear track. Thanks again. I may check the track on the quarter glass to see if I can bring it out.

The top adjusters? Is that the top of the tracks that are retained by the allen head bolt? If it is I've only adjusted those front and back. It didn't look lke they'd control in and out for the glass.  :dunno:

Looks like it fits better now. Part of the problem was the quarter window was too recessed and the weatherstrpping needed to be brought out some more by pressing the metal frame behind it out. I also looked at the other area you mentioned and adjusted those better. Thank you for the help
