Mopar 300ZX - Proof ricers have no clue!
« on: January 10, 2006 - 10:44:55 PM »
Was out mincing some rice in the Ford the other night ( 'Cuda is undergoing rebuild ) .. came across a Nissan 300ZX with bodykit, wing, tin can exhaust and a bunch of stickers along the side of it. He had Sony, Apexxi, a few other ricer brands and... MOPAR. He had a Mopar sticker on his 300ZX.. Argh, boy did I give him some abuse. I was hoping he'd pull over so I could peel the sticker off.

Oy, I hope it was just a regular Z.  The turbo models are damn fine cars.  If it is a turbo, this kid does NOT deserve that car.

:eek4: That's just wrong....maybe he is alliterate?  :lol2:

The only Jap car I respect is a Godzilla (Nissan Skyline) Banned in the US for too much hp.
1000hp capable is a great effort from where ever you stand, if you don't agree, you kidding yourself.  :smokin:

I respect a lot of imports, most of them have the horsepower to back up there outrageous bodykit/spoilers. I hate skylines; to me they are overrated, overpriced, and I think they are ugly. I do like Supras, but would never own one. The Evo and WRX are amongst other imports I respect. For the most part it isnt the car that I dislike, its the driver.

Because I wanted to get back into a 'Musclecar' and the Import laws here in NZ are relatively lax right now, plus the NZ$ has never been so strong against the Greenback...so it all made sense. Also, well in my book anyway 'Musclecars' are forever.

I checked out the site you provided here back when you were still listing the car.  That thing looked intense and exceptionally clean! :wow:  I've only seen one other GTR34 and that was on a video taken in Madison, WI.  Someone had one imported here and he runs it around Madison occasionally, mostly messes with other Imports, but there's a nasty twin-turbocharged Viper RT-10 that plays along with him.  Both quite expensive, yet nasty cars!

I've got to say this. Japanese cars in this country are messed up because of all of these damn idiots that "build" them. Most of you guys don't know this, but I'm half japanese, half white. I was raised in the south, and took the accent with me. I like 4 wheelin, hunting, old muscle cars, and ride a harley. However, I have been to Japan on many occasions and the cars are very cool. They have fast ones, and they build outrageous ones just for the shock factor. For a while I was into drifting with an AE86, all built to japanese specifications. However, I retired from that when Initial D came out in the states and everyone and their grandmother bought one and ruined them.

In Japan, your registration is based on the size of your motor. Every once in a while you'll see some rich guy rollin a 60's or 70's Lincoln. Anyway...Japanese people had to figure out how to make small motors fast if they wanted to race around town. When I was out there, I saw quite a few cars with less than 100 cubes puttin out over 200 horse, which to me, is pretty damn impressive.

Needless to say, I did not see any ricerockets in Japan with chrome fender trim, or "FEAR THIS" stickers.

The kid probably noticed all the really fast and valuable cars had the words Mopar on them somewhere, and he wanted his car to be really fast and valuable so he put a Mopar sticker on it. You can't blame the kid for trying  :roflsmiley:

I have respect for imports, even though I dont really care for them. I have zero respect for ricers.
