:iagree: Jack Russell terriors are a one person dog for the most part, he definately will have issues with any "new" family members, but I guess if you keep him out side it may work out, at any rate Kevin the little guy (puppy) deserves to be saved from that fate.

I work with a lot of different breeds of dogs and most of the jack russells I have come aross are very sweet.  Hyper, but sweet.  I think a lot of it is in the training they get.  Best of luck with everything Kev.

Congrats on the baby on the way!  That's great!  Hope all works out well for you and the family.

As far as the dog goes, IMO, get rid of it.  I love dogs and we had dogs growing up as kids, but if what the others have said is true about that breed, it's just not worth putting the baby at risk.  I'm sure it's cute now but what happens when it gets bigger?  I was cute at one point before when I was little and now look at me!  :roflsmiley:
