what's this?

sounds stupid but
I'm searching for a window clip but my dealer don't know what it's exactly called and couldn't find it
We search lot's of books but no luck yet
It i think only on a  1973 challenger
here is a pic



Anyone an idea where we can find this

Could it be a door ajar switch for an overhead console car? I dunno.

It's fixed.
Is pushed the window against the doorrubber is you close the door of course

I,ve seen those on factory original cars, don't know what they're called but
they were plastic or rubber coated new, but after a few years that would crack
and peel off leaving only the metal bracket itself. Will keep my eyes open for
replacements.  Jeff

yep, that's what happened
and the rusted metal bracket broke off

 I've got those on my 72 Challenger, and it's driving me crazy, because it's all bent up and down to bare metal, and makes a squeaky sound if I don't have the window up very tight. I'd really like to find some repos of these as well.

that sound is killing me

That is a piece to align the window.  At higher speeds the cabin kinda builds up a pressure and it pushes the window, if you had your window open and tried to crank it up it would miss the seal.  That's just a guess, my dad says his 71' Monte Carlo had them on it and that was their purpose to GM.
