Responsible for selling IBM offerings (software, services, and industry solutions) directly to customers within a specified brand and region. Lead large and/or complex opportunities, where customers are national or otherwise significant, and are responsible for winning the business and typically have in-depth sales skills.
Looking for a minimum of 5 years experience selling large complex software and service deals. Expected to develop and maintain comprehensive technical sales knowledge in technology areas such as distributed database technologies, content management, information integration, analytics and master data management; WebSphere systems and software products. Accountable for business unit sales results, and specific personal objectives, including revenue and profit growth. This job may be appropriate for those who have been in consulting and are interested in sales.
Some travel is required to customer sites.
Technical Sales Specialists (Systems Engineers)

Technical Sales Specialists work closely with the Sales Specialists throughout entire sales cycle providing pre and post sales support/technical expertise. Directly accountable for the attainment of assigned business and revenue goals and the development of long term customer relationships which will impact future business and revenue attainment. Provides input for development of sales/revenue goals and strategies. Participates in complex sales solutions which require high degree of influence and persuasion. Negotiates with team members to define approaches and goals to customer solutions. Develops business and sales strategies for communicating new developments or announcements.
Some travel is required.
Software Development
Only the following development jobs in the DataPower SOA appliance group are bonus eligible. Location is Cambridge, MA
Compiler Engineer/Team Lead - Must have experience in C/C++ as well as experience with code generation. Requires 5+ years of experience in commercial development, Knowledge of OOP design principles and runtime or OS kernels and XML/XSLT.
SQA Automation Engineers (3) - do both SQA testing and Test automation. Must demonstrate the ability to organize, create and execute test plans and test cases based on prototype and documented features. Candidates must have 3-5 years SQA product testing experience in distributed application such as Web Services. Experience with Perl Scripting, Linux tools such as Perforce, Make, or Bugzilla is a must.
WebGUI Software engineer - Must have 3-5 years of experience designing and implementing webGUI for web based enterprise applications, preferably involving Web Services functionalities, not commercial websites. Extensive knowledge of Java, Javascript, xHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS and Flash a must.
Senior Team Lead Security Engineer - Deep experience in C/C++,Java, XML, XSLT, Linux development in the security space with Authentication, Authorization, Audit, and single sign on involving SAML or WS security. Linux development exp is a must.
Senior Team Lead Software Engineer - Must have experience in developing management plane software for network devices and appliances, such as routers, firewalls. Requires knowledge of C/C++ embedded software experience, implementation knowledge of SNMP, and XML , embedded unix integration, system management with 5+ years experience.

All jobs require prior customer facing experience and architecture, design, development, implementation, testing and/or performance of complex software products and the ability to travel 60% - 90%. Examples of specific services positions that are ERBP-eligible listed by SWG brand, include:
WPLC (Lotus): Websphere Portal IT Architect/Specialist - requirements include an understanding of the business value of Workplace, Portal & Collaboration solutions; application or infrastructure architecture experience using WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Java, J2EE and relational databases (DB2 preferred); strong customer-facing skills.
Information Management - Entity Analytics (SRD): EAS IT Architects and Project Manager for DB2 Identify and Relationship products for the Entity Analytic Solutions (SRD) government team. TS/SCI clearance is required. Experience in database architecting, modeling, and performance tuning and integrating ETL tools and processes in large scale environments required.
Information Management - IIS (Ascential Software): IT Architects to design and implement solutions using enterprise data integration technology. Need experience in data warehousing, system conversions, ERP implementations, instance consolidation, DataStage EE, Qualitystage or Profilestage, Oracle, DB2, SQL, teredata or other databases.
Tivoli: Tivoli Services Consultants (IT Architects/Specialists) in the Security, Automation/Availability, Host Services, On Demand (Provisioning & Orchestration) and Storage practices in the U.S., all of which require strong knowledge of Tivoli products, the Systems Management Control disciplines, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and strong customer facing skills.
AIM - Websphere: Websphere (WS) IT Architects including WebSphere Application Server Consultants, Business Integration Server and/or Message Broker Consultants, Commerce Architects, Application Server Enterprise Architects, SOA Consultant/Mentors, Performance Consultants, Modeler or Monitor Consultants, Lab Services Consultants, IT Specialists Security, Services Sales Specialists; all of which require experience in Websphere Business Integration, WS Application Server, WS Application Developer, Java, C++, J2EE, WebServices and SOA, multi-tiered J2EE Web based application, EAI and package applications integration, WC and/or WDME design experience, Java Servlet programming, web application scaling, web site performance and security, Message Broker, Wintel, Unix, z/OS platform, other Messaging Technologies, zSeries development, COBOL and CICS development tools and WebSphere Developer for zSeries (WDZ) integrated development environment for COBOL.
