I say do what you like.  I have 74 CHALL for mine and an original 73 plate "666 RZ" for the RoadRunner,  just so I can park it at the fundie church up the road.

What are the rules in CA for pricing of these plates.  In Florida they not only hit you for the initial extra cost (If I remember right it was 2-3x) the 1st year.  They keep charging you the extra amount every year going forward.

It pissed me off so I let the plate expire after a couple of years.

In CA it's $41 per plate setup and first year, then $30 a year.  If the car goes unregistered, you can hang on to the tag numbers for $30 a year while it's off the road.  Whoever has 426HEMI or HEMI on their tags isn't gonna let that expire, even if they don't have a car to put it on!

I love 4SHOWIN and 4CRUIZIN!  I like that you don't totally get the joke till you see both cars next to each other!  Sort of like my "CC" plates, they make more sense when all the cars are lined up....

Some others I thought of and liked:

NO YOU GO  and  OK I WILL (for a matched pair of Lotus Elises or MiniCoopers, maybe?)
THE 10S and THE 11S and THE 12S (for fast cars like OldSchools)
MR VADER and MS VADER (on a pair of black Magnums)
YES IT DO and AWWWYES (for any car that people would ask, "that thing got a hemi?")
NEVER or NO SALE (for all those people who ask "how much you want for that car?")
NERVVUS or PRANOID (for an over-restored hemicuda convert clone)
70 Cuda convert
70 Charger R/T
06 Magnum SRT8

You need a vanity plate on your old cars and any of your ideas are good.I just hate the when the owner has no imagination and has 70Vette just below the factory emblem that says Corvette,DUH!
