You won't believe this...
« on: January 13, 2006 - 09:28:01 PM »
So I ordered replacement chrome bumpers from Year One four months ago and they finally arrived yesterday..yeaaa!!.  I get out my knife and I open the big Year One box and inside is a chocolate brown queen size bed frame???  I called Year One immediately and the customer service rep couldn't stop laughing. I said no way am I chroming them and putting them on my Cuda..  I called back later and another service rep said "oh your the bed frame guy, how do they look on your car..lol....  Somewhere out there is some old lady is sleeping on my chrome cuda bumpers.. :roflsmiley:

Thats hilarious, Im just wondering how the hell that could even happen. How would a bed frame get into Yearone's warehouse??? and if it was a shipping mistake, how did your address get on it?? Keep us updated on this, would love to hear more about it....

That is just to much. A company the size of year one selling bed frames. Let us know how Year One takes care of the situation as they sold me some bad parts and promised to replace them and guess what I never got replacements. I now buy very little from them just because of one bad deal.

That is a good one, as long as you can laugh it off. If i was waiting 4 months and bed frames showed up i think i would be a bit ticked off.

I'm gonna keep reading this one cause it sounds like someone stole them in transit and if Y.O. doesn't take care of it then I'm never buying anything big from them. (it IS pretty funny though)

:dunno:  :roflsmiley: Maybe it was a suttle hint that the bumpers were going to take a tad longer than expected,..just get comfy and wait  :roflsmiley: . Then again the employee personal use theroy sounds logical, also sounds like if this is the case Y1 will be advertising a job opening soon  :roflsmiley: I'd keep the bed frames, hold then for hostage purposes, resell them to the numnuts that boxed them up !

SO lets put this in perspective as I'd like to try to envision this.  "An Employee from Year One ordered a bed frame and had it shipped to work for convenience and somehow your name got put on it and shipped to you where you open to find the bedframe??"  You've got to be sh!tin' me!!   Well set them up in front of your car and lets have a look as to what their gonna look like!!   :picture:

Intersesting!
Have they acknowledged that they were in fact shipped from them? Or has somebody stolen your parts en-route and substituted some weight?

If it is there mistake, make them overcompensate you. I was billed for door panels and waited 4 months. When calling a few times it was realized that I had to tell them the exact shape of my Swinger rear panels to complete the order. With this new found info I would have to wait again, I simply called legendary and shortened the wait(their panels anyway) and Bi#ched to YO and they gave all my money back, plus a credit card interest rate on the total amount of my order for the 4 month period. I came out money ahead, I was satisfied.

Year One is usually pretty good about making good on a problem! a while back a purchased a black carpet kit from them, intalled it, and then the rear half changed colors on me! I called them and told them about it I returned the rear half of the carpet they replaced it AND refunded my shipping costs! they were also VERY apologetic about the whole thing also! granted I had to cut the carpet again but everything went real smoothly!!
