Here is my engine build:

INDY Aluminum, std deck height Hemi water block
Eagle 4340/4.250 stroke, nitride hardened, non-twist forging, Cro-Moly crankshaft
RPM 4340/7.100 Cro-Moly, H-beam connecting rods
ROSS custom forged 2618 aluminum, quench dome pistons
Total Seal Gapless top moly ring set
Clevite 77 H-series rod main bearings
Fel-Pro gaskets
ARP fasteners
STAGE V aluminum street heads with mild porting and polishing
STAGE V roller rockers
Keith Black Racing Engines rocker stands
Keith Black Racing Engines hardened rocker shafts
Smith Bros custom pushrods
Comp Cams custom ground hydraulic roller retrofit camshaft
Comp Cams retrofit hydraulic roller lifters
Crane billet double roller, Torrington bearing, 3-bolt timing chain
Melling high volume oil pump
Milodon low profile road race oil pan
MSD pro-billet distributor and complete MSD ignition components
ATI harmonic balancer
McLeod billet steel flywheel
Stage V dual quad, single plane intake manifold
PC Carbs custom built Holleys
Moly coated rod and main bearings
Thermal barrier coated pistons and combustion chambers and valve faces
Billet Specialities Polished brackets and components

Fully dyno tuned - to be ~700+hp

Oldschool, I was looking at the Be Cool radiator with dual fans price from Summit was about $1400 - is that correct?  I will be upgrading to a new driveshaft - are you happy with the aluminum price is reasonable that I saw.  I was also interested in the strange 60 not sure about the gears tho and I would love to have a gear vendors overdrive but I am SOOOO way over budget.

Cuda--the Be-Cool price looks in the ballpark.  It keeps my sled at 190* or cooler at all times.  If it was a REAL hot day, I would pour a little octane booster in it just to make sure.  But it never has gotten over 190*  I ran Strange equipment in my '65 990 Hemi SS car for 3 seasons and never even pulled the rear cover off after initial build-up.  It's strong stuff. But I also understand budgets......my wife is standing next to me, so I won't go there now...   :roflsmiley:    :cooldancing:   .............Oldschool

Thanx for the info, engine install should take place in March - I am trying to finalize those crucial parts to purchase to have ready on install ie. radiator, drive shaft, rear end, motor mounts

I need your suggestion on the motor mounts and any other accessories for the engine swap from 340 to HEMI

Joel,  Sounds like quite an engine they're building fo you!  Any guesstimate on the HP/Torque that beast will put out?

hmmm... been wondering, is it cheaper to build your own as compared to buying a crate motor?  can I ask how much it cost to build that?  I thought it might be better with more hps if I pick what parts I want and just have it put togeather... please let me know what you think, thanks

the Crate is always a compromise , you tend to get the parts they want & may have to replace a few to get what you want + the crate has ben problematic & need to be torn down & checked so I would definatly build one over buying a crate

I can say amen to that statement with a crate 360 380hp engine purchased in 1998.
