    Okay.  So what in heck do ya do when the ancient magnum 14" wheel is like permanently bonded to the front hub?  With all the lug nuts loosened, that sucker won't budge!  I wailed on that sucker pretty good, and no dice.  I don't want to pry on something I shouldn't, or bash on something I shouldn't... 

    But there will be no pics of my Cuda with new fat tires unless someone can suggest how to detach that sucker!

    when all else fails try a bigger hammer  :roflsmiley: sorry someone had to be that guy and say it  :misbehaving:
    But seroiusly maybe try to let it soak with some penetrating oil overnight, or maybe a little heat  :dunno:
    If worse comes to worse take the hub off to get at it easier

    My dad's challenger had the same problem on the fronts, I eventually knocked them off with my size 12s......i figured they are made of rubber, so they cant reallly damage the wheel. If that doesnt work, then try the penetrating oil....that should get it.

    Thanks guys.... I already went in and changed into kicking boots and gave that a shot.  Ouch.  I didn't spray any Kroil on there cause I was afraid of contaminating the disc brakes...

    When I used to work at the garage this used to happen all the time, I remember driving one old car around in circles with no lug nuts (I was a kid and dad wasn't happy when he figured out what I was doing).  But we used to buy cans of "rust check" the stuff smelled like cherries and worked wonders. I don't remember seeing it for sale lately, but i'm sure its still around. A dead weight hammer is better for the rim too.   :working:

    Hi, try this, put all the lug nuts back on until they are about 1/8 inch from contacting
    the wheel, put the car back down on the ground and rock the car side to side until
    it "pops"! All done!!  Jeff

    We used to run into this problem alot , back when I worked in a repair shop.
    Put the nuts back on but leave a little space -don't tighten them all the way. Pull ahead and back a few times hittin the brakes hard. That usually does it. Use some antisieze on the replacement. :bigsmile:

    BIGSHCLUNK - Thanks, I had tried that technique, but very gingerly, just slightly lowering the car till the wheels rested on the ground, but not janking on it like I apparently should!  So after work I am on it.....  Thnaks again guys...

     First I'll  jack the car up about 1 inch off the ground, then i take a piece of hardwood and place it right upagaints the tire and rim, and then I stand back with a Deadblow hammer and let it go give it one hell of a whack, and if I miss and hit my hand then I get a bigger hammer like a sledgehammer and try it, it should come off after two wack, if not then take the hub off like some one has said GOOD LUCK, if you wasn't so far away I'll come over and do it for you

     when I have run into this problem this is exactly how I have been sucessful at removing them
