April, way to go with the progress!!!  I had no idea you were going to be pulling your 340 for a rebuild, but it'll perform that much better after everything's rebuilt.  I can already see some more tire marks in the hotel parking lot where you'll be "testing" out the rebuilt 340.

So does that mean you are going to Carlisle?  A little bluebird told me you would not be attending this year.  I hope that's not the case.

I didn't realize you were going to have to tear into the motor like that. Sounds like it'll be a much nicer ride when you're all done. Hopefully all the bugs will be out before cruise season starts, & you can smoke somebody's Olds without any problems.

Well, I didn't have, my seals were shot though and since some of it had to come apart we figured we might as well do the whole thing.  LOL about smokin' the Olds!!!  Tell Mary I said hello too!

April, power sterring ? She will steer just fine, that 340 6pk will allow very little friction on those front tires 

Parking may be a tad slower, but hell who would want to park that beauty? I'd stay manual too, Flaming River has a neat manual box, light weight too, good unit but a bit pricy compared to some others.

  Since the engine is out, now is the time to paint her pink. Just think of it, you will have a one of a kind. I don't think I have ever seen a pink engine before, but it's not like I am attracted to that kind of thing either.

Awe, c'mon you guys.  A 340 powerhorse doesn't deserve to be painted pink.   Plum Crazy now...
