Build Sheet????
« on: January 18, 2006 - 01:36:00 PM »
Well I found the build sheet underneath the back seat :drunk:.  It is in great condition, however how should I preserve it, should I laminate it?  Any other suggestions?  If you had a build sheet how'd you do it?  Thanks.

I just put mine in a clear plastic sleeve that has a flap over the top so nothing can get in/out, then put in a 3 ring binder with hard covers, in a dry place, low humidity.

I'm not sure what happens to lamination after a few years.  I would be afraid it would yellow/crack, depending on the quality.

Also take pics of it and store it on CD.  If they are high resolution you'll be able to zoom in and see the type/codes with out disturbing the original build sheet.

Get 2 or 3 color photo copies made. Laminate the original, store one in your "car folder stuff".
Keep one in the car and one somewhere else.

As long as they are in 3 different places and you have the original safely tucked away, you'll be sweet.

Oh yeah, great score mate!! Wish mine was in the car.  :walkaway:

Great find!  I'm leary about the laminating thing. I put the part of ours that the mice didn't get to in a sheet protector and have it stored away.

Laminating original documents it bad. The best way is to insert it in an acid free plastic sleave and store it in a safe place. I also reccomend making at least 4 high quality color copies, place three if the same type of sleeves and place them in the seat springs of the car. Use the 4th one for reference when needed.
