70 Challenger Manual Trans
« on: January 15, 2003 - 12:12:23 PM »
i think i may be back in action as far as searching for a car goes.  im pretty loose on what im looking for.  pretty much the only requirements is that it is a manual transmission 70 challenger.  dont care about engines, options, etc.  would like it to at least be in running order and its best that the body and interior are in good condition.  dont want to deal with a rust bucket or a molested interior.  would like to keep the price under 10 grand, as this will be a project car, but if the right car comes around who knows.

I'll keep an eye out too.  There's a 70 T/A advertised locally near me for 12K.  340-6   4spd.   I haven't gone to look at it, but if you're interested, message me and I can give them a call and see if it's for real and go check it out.

 ;) Hey guys,
I think if there are any T/A's out there for 12 grand, they must be in baaaad shape. There must be a tree growing thru it(LOL). Seriously, any half way decent T/A can't be touched for less than 20 grand. Your only hope would be that maybe the body is in good shape and it just needs a repaint and a new interior. Good luck on your search.

Looks like I better take a trip out and see it then.  The same person has an ad for a 70 AAR Cuda auto.  Same price.  Wanna bet they're clones in bad shape?

If you can, go look and bring us back pictures!  Those prices sound too good to be true...but would love to see them.  VIN and fender tag #s would be great too....

Just happen to have gotten a digital camera for X-mas.  I'll see what I can do.  I thought they sounded too good to be true, but didn't have the cash so I haven't bothered.  I'll make a call and take a look.

if the challenger is just a ta clone that might work.  the price is probably too high though.

That's right!  No harm in taking apart a clone!

Hey Ross.  Have you been watching the black Challenger in Hawaii on eBay?

Nice car.  What do you suppose it would cost to get it to CA?
